In the winter of 1993, a 30-year-old man named Gordon Andrew Cameron was last seen on February 26th in Kingston, Ontario. A month later, on March 26, 1993, he was officially reported missing by a concerned family member. At the time of his disappearance, Cameron was a self-employed auto body repairman. His automotive shop was located at Brule Road and Highway 2 in Kingston. Gordon, often called Gord, was described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 171 pounds, with brown hair that he wore in a short ponytail and brown eyes. From the beginning of the investigation, authorities suspected that foul play was involved in Cameron's disappearance and have treated his case as a homicide. Investigators believe his disappearance is connected to the murder of Kevin John MacPherson, an associate of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. MacPherson's body was discovered in Holleford Creek, not far from where police would later search for Cameron, after he had gone missing at the end of 1992. It is believed that MacPherson was shot and killed at Gordon Cameron's auto body shop. Cameron himself was known to be an associate of the local Outlaws chapter, and police believe this connection is relevant to his disappearance. He was considered a "hang around," someone friendly with the gang but not a full member, and his skills as a mechanic were reportedly valued by them. Despite the passage of time, the search for answers in Gordon Cameron's case has continued. In 2015, acting on new information, Kingston Police and the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a joint search of a large, wooded property with several bodies of water on North Shore Road in Frontenac Township. The search for physical evidence related to his disappearance was extensive, involving multiple specialized units. Although this search did not lead to a breakthrough, the case remains open. Authorities have stated their strong belief that Cameron met with an untimely death connected to the Outlaws motorcycle gang. His body has never been found, and no one has been charged in connection with his disappearance. The Kingston Police have previously offered a significant reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for his murder or the recovery of his remains. The case stands as a somber reminder of a life interrupted and the enduring pain for a family that still seeks closure.
