A search for a missing female named James Terry Field from Ohio has not yielded any online records matching that description. There is, however, information regarding a missing person case for a male named Terry Field from Ohio, which may be of interest due to the similarity in name and location. The details of his disappearance are profoundly tragic and have left a lasting impact on his family. On August 26, 1986, Terry Field, a 44-year-old man, along with a passenger named Linda Blackwell, departed from Lost Nation Airport, located east of Cleveland, Ohio. They were flying a small plane with a destination of Brantford, Ontario, Canada. A short time into the flight, only about 18 minutes after takeoff, the pilot made contact with the Cleveland Air Traffic Controller to report encountering severe turbulence. The pilot requested new vectors to navigate the challenging weather. The controller advised the pilot to turn west, but soon after this communication, both radio and radar contact with the aircraft were abruptly lost. The following day, a search commenced, and debris from the aircraft was located in Lake Erie. The wreckage was found approximately 32 nautical miles south of the St. Thomas Airport, drifting in a southeasterly direction on the Canadian side of the international boundary line. Terry Field's brother heartbreakingly identified the recovered items, which included a baseball cap, a piece of aluminum with flooring attached, and foam from the aircraft's seats, confirming they were from the missing plane. After the debris was identified, the official search was terminated by the Trenton Rescue Co-ordination Centre on August 27, 1986. The disappearance of Terry Field is a story of a journey that ended in unforeseen tragedy. Despite the confirmation that the plane he was on went down in Lake Erie, neither Terry Field nor Linda Blackwell were ever recovered. The lack of closure has undoubtedly left a void in the lives of their families and friends. The case serves as a somber reminder of the unforgiving power of nature and the deep sorrow that accompanies the unknown fate of a loved one. The overview of this case is one of a presumed fatal plane crash, with the final resting place of the occupants remaining a mystery held by the waters of Lake Erie.
