This devastating discovery provided a long-awaited answer to his family's questions about his whereabouts, though it was the one they had feared most. The cause of his death has not yet been determined, and as of late August 2026, no charges had been laid directly related to his death. The police investigation remains active, with officers continuing their presence on the property. The case of Lawrence Bertrim is part of a larger, more complex investigation centered around the Kelly Jordan Road property. His remains were the third set to be discovered at this single location. In October 2025, the remains of Robbie Thomson, who went missing in 2023, were found on the property, leading to murder charges against four individuals. Then, in July 2026, the remains of Robert Lambert, a man who had been missing since 2018, were also identified from the same location. The discovery of three missing persons on one rural property has understandably generated significant public interest and concern. While this development brought a tragic end to the search for Lawrence Bertrim, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death continues, with authorities still working to piece together the events that led to this heartbreaking conclusion and to provide his family with the full measure of justice they seek.
