On the morning of November 11, 1999, a man named Roger Paul Bertrand vanished from his home in Hanmer, Ontario. At the time of his disappearance, Roger was 42 years old. He was a man dealing with significant physical challenges; a construction accident years earlier had left him with a dysfunctional left leg that required him to use both a brace and a cane to walk.
