In the late spring of 2026, a sense of unease settled over the community of Winter Haven, Florida, as a local teenager, Kyana Amada Velez, vanished without a trace. On Saturday, May 9th, the 16-year-old was last seen in the Polk County city. That day, she was dressed in a black crop top, black shorts, and slides.
