In February 2026, the community of Portsmouth, Virginia, grew concerned for the welfare of 14-year-old Jerae Lee. She was last seen late on a Sunday night, specifically around 11 p.m., in the 700 block of Argyle Street. At the time she went missing, Jerae was described as a Black female, 5'7' tall, and weighing about 230 pounds. She had brown hair styled in a ponytail and brown eyes. The last clothing she was seen wearing consisted of a navy blue hoodie and tan pants.
