Karen Schmitz, a 13-year-old Black female, was reported missing from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, on June 22, 2026. She was last seen in the 8500 block of Edinbrook Crossing North. According to authorities, Karen left her home on foot and headed in an unknown direction.
At the time of her disappearance, Karen was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 175 pounds, with black hair and black eyes. She was wearing a white shirt with a black Nike jacket, camouflage pants, and black shoes.
Authorities noted that she was known to have connections to the Chicago area.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) issued a missing person alert, and an extensive investigation was launched to find her. The Brooklyn Park Police Department led the search efforts, and the public was asked to provide any information that could help locate the teenager.
