In the late spring of 2025, the community of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, was marked by the troubling disappearance of 43-year-old James Wood, known to his loved ones as Jimmy. The last confirmed sighting of him was on June 19, when a surveillance camera at the LA 22 Mart, located at the corner of Highway 22 and Lee's Landing, captured his image. He was seen leaving the convenience store dressed in all black, walking down Lee's Landing away from the highway. After this moment, he seemingly vanished.
