On September 29, 2021, 23-year-old Nicholas "Nick" Smyre was last seen leaving his family's home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Described as a quiet and reserved individual, Nick was an employee at a local Michael's Craft Store and enjoyed gaming, both online and tabletop Dungeons & Dragons. On the day he disappeared, he was seen leaving with an unidentified man described as being in his early 20s with dark hair and an olive or tan complexion. The two departed in an early 2000s silver or grey Honda Civic or a similar vehicle. His family reported his disappearance as being out of character. The circumstances surrounding Nick's departure raised immediate concern among his loved ones. He left behind all of his personal belongings except for his phone. In a troubling development, Nick had sent a message to a close friend on Discord containing the passwords to his computer and other online accounts. His employer reported him as a "no call, no show" on September 30th and October 1st. His phone last pinged on October 1st around 2:30 PM in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and his bank account has not been used since he went missing. Tragically, the search for Nicholas Smyre came to a heartbreaking end. On March 12, 2026, he was found deceased. The case of Nicholas Smyre is a sorrowful one, beginning with a young man leaving his home with an unknown individual and leaving behind a cryptic message. The lack of activity on his phone and bank accounts pointed to a grim outcome. The overview of the case highlights a sudden disappearance that left family and friends in deep distress, which unfortunately concluded with the discovery of his remains.
