Authorities also noted that Doss had a condition that might require immediate attention, adding a layer of urgency to the search. As days turned into weeks, the search for Christian Doss continued, with his family and friends anxiously awaiting any news of his whereabouts. The community shared his story, hoping that someone might have information that could lead to his safe return. The family held onto hope, navigating the unimaginable pain of not knowing what had happened to their beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend. On the morning of December 20, police were notified of a body discovered in a grassy area near Archer Avenue and LaGrange Road in Willow Springs. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed the remains to be those of Christian Doss. The subsequent investigation revealed that his death was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
