In the winter of 2026, concern grew for 17-year-old Elove Thompson, a young man who vanished from Queen Creek, Arizona. He was last seen on January 3, 2026, in the vicinity of South Sossaman and East Rittenhouse roads. At the time of his disappearance, Elove was described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. His case was one of several involving missing teenagers in the area, sparking unease within the community. Elove was not alone when he went missing; he was in the company of three other teenage boys who were also reported as missing from the same location on the same day. This group disappearance prompted the Queen Creek Police Department to seek public assistance in locating the youths. It was later confirmed that Elove was a resident of Canyon State Academy, a residential school for at-risk teen boys in Queen Creek. This detail formed part of a larger, troubling pattern of young people going missing from group homes in the area. Over the subsequent weeks, some of the teenagers who disappeared around the same time as Elove were located. Two of the boys who went missing with him were found safe by the end of January, and another was located in early March. However, as of the last reports in March 2026, Elove Thompson remained missing. The ongoing situation highlighted a significant issue in Queen Creek concerning the number of youths, particularly from residential facilities, who were unaccounted for, prompting local officials and law enforcement to address the growing problem. The search for answers in Elove's case continues, leaving a community hoping for a safe return.
