Mary Jean Olshefski-Beatty, a 56-year-old woman from Gerrardstown, West Virginia, was last seen on March 4, 2011. She was seen walking away from her residence on Jenkins Road and has not been heard from since. At the time of her disappearance, Olshefski-Beatty was wearing a blue Carhartt t-shirt, tan shorts, and black sandals.
A significant delay occurred before Olshefski-Beatty was officially reported as a missing person, with nearly a year passing before a report was filed.
This delay has been attributed to her history of drug addiction, which led her to disappear for days or even weeks at a time. However, the length of her absence in this instance was uncharacteristic.
At the time she went missing, Olshefski-Beatty resided on a property she shared with her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend. During the investigation into her disappearance, police discovered blood on the living room floor of her home. Despite this discovery, the blood has reportedly not been tested.
Mary Jean Olshefski-Beatty has several distinguishing characteristics. She has graying blonde hair and blue eyes. Her ears are pierced, and she wears glasses for reading. She has a number of scars, including one from a Caesarean section on her abdomen, another on her forehead, and a burn scar on her left breast. Additionally, she has a tattoo of a butterfly on her breast that was scarred over and a tattoo of a Pegasus with three or four stars on the inside of her ankle. It is also noted that she may have used the alias names Alice Cook and/or Carol Martin. Her case remains unsolved.Last Seen: Mar 4, 2011
