In the late afternoon of June 28, 2010, 52-year-old Leslie Gale Mears left her job in Tulsa, Oklahoma, seemingly like any other workday. A subsequent phone call to her employer would be one of her last known communications; she explained that a family emergency would prevent her from coming to work the following day.
