In the late hours of February 24, 2011, in Trenton, New Jersey, 25-year-old Michael Lanyette Fauntleroy Jr. was in contact with his mother. He spoke with her around 10:30 p.m. and then, shortly after midnight on February 25, sent her a text message saying he was on his way home. Michael, who lived with his mother and his young son in the East Trenton neighborhood, never arrived. That text message was the last time his family ever heard from him.
