Jon Gerald Walton, a 75-year-old man from Orofino, Idaho, has been missing since September 29, 2020. He was last seen at his residence in the 1600 block of Whiskey Creek Loop. Walton was reportedly planning to do some work on his property on the day of his disappearance. His friends and neighbors initiated a search when he could not be located, and the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office was notified later that day.
An extensive search of Walton's property and the surrounding area was conducted by law enforcement, involving several resources such as search dogs, ATVs, horses, ground searchers, and a helicopter. Despite these efforts, no trace of Walton was found. Investigators noted that all of Walton's personal belongings, including his vehicles and horses, were accounted for at his home. The only item he is believed to have taken with him was a gun.
At the time he went missing, Walton was described as being 6'0" tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a green and tan flannel shirt. The Clearwater County Sheriff's Office urged residents in the Whiskey Creek and Grangemont areas to check their trail cameras for any signs of Walton.
