On September 14, 2000, 49-year-old Olive Frances Petty, also known as "Ollie," vanished after returning to North Fort Myers, Florida, from a family reunion in Kentucky. Petty, a resident of North Fort Myers, had traveled to Kentucky to visit relatives. She departed from Louisville International Airport on September 14 and, upon her arrival in Florida later that day, she telephoned her mother to confirm she had landed safely. That was the last time her family ever heard from her.
