Summary based on 3 sources
Jimmie Randall Johnson Jr., a 27-year-old rave club promoter, was last seen on October 6, 1998, in Orlando, Florida. On the day of his disappearance, he drove an acquaintance to the Orlando International Airport. He was last seen on State Highway 436, somewhere between Orlando and Cocoa. Johnson, who resided in the 600 block of Palm Drive in Satellite Beach, Florida, has not been seen or heard from since.

A few days following his disappearance, Johnson's vehicle was found abandoned in the parking lot of a shopping center in Winter Park, Florida. At the time he went missing, Johnson was a multifaceted entrepreneur; he promoted rave clubs, had initiated his own record label, and was the proprietor of a store that sold t-shirts and smoking materials. Despite having thousands of dollars in the bank and owning his home, he was facing a significant financial issue with the Internal Revenue Service, which was seeking $90,000 in back taxes and penalties. However, authorities do not believe this was a motive for him to have voluntarily disappeared.

Investigators suspect that Johnson was murdered for reasons connected to his business dealings. The prevailing theory is that he was killed in Brevard County, and his car was subsequently moved to the Winter Park shopping center in an effort to mislead law enforcement. Authorities believe there was more than one individual involved in his murder. As of today, no arrests have been made, and no one has been charged in connection with the disappearance of Jimmie Randall Johnson Jr.; his case remains an unsolved presumed homicide.
