On March 31, 1980, 78-year-old James Samuel Dilorenzo went missing in Palm Beach County, Florida. He had just arrived in Delray Beach from New Jersey the previous day, on March 30th. Dilorenzo was staying at the Kings Point complex and was last seen between 4 and 5 p.m. near the intersection of West Atlantic Avenue and Carter Road.
Dilorenzo, who suffered from a condition that would cause him to become stiff and immobile without daily medication, had left his residence to walk to a
nearby convenience store to purchase ice cream. He was wearing a bright blue shirt, blue-gray pants, brown slippers, and a soft gray hat. He was described as being 5'9" and weighing between 155-160 pounds, with blond, balding hair and hazel eyes.
A search was conducted for Dilorenzo, but he was never located. He has not been seen or heard from since he left for the convenience store. His case is classified as an endangered missing person and remains unsolved.Last Seen: Mar 31, 1980
