On December 3, 2022, Christian Kath, a 42-year-old pilot, was flying a rented Piper Cherokee aircraft with his wife, Misty Kath, and their 12-year-old daughter, Lily, off the coast of Venice, Florida. The family had flown from St. Petersburg to Venice for dinner and were returning when their plane tragically crashed into the Gulf of Mexico shortly after takeoff. Wreckage was found about a third of a mile offshore, and the bodies of Misty and Lily were recovered within the following days. However ...
