Hogan is described as a white female, 5'3" tall, weighing 155 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Hogan had a history of wandering due to her medical condition. In a previous incident, she had wandered from home and actively hidden from a search and rescue team, though she was found safely after ten and a half hours. This history, combined with her Alzheimer's, placed her at significant risk.
Following the report of her disappearance in September 2001, authorities initiated a search for Hogan. However, the search efforts were ultimately called off after three days without success.
