Runy Leidy Medina Pacheco, a 42-year-old woman from the Dominican Republic, went missing on December 25, 2022, while on an extended vacation in Orlando, Florida. She had traveled to the United States in October 2022 and was last seen on Christmas Day at the Cadence Crossing Apartments, located on Curry Ford Road. That evening, between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m., she was wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt.
Runy did not have access to a vehicle and relied on public transportation and ridesharing services to get around.
Her family last communicated with her on the day of her disappearance, and concerns grew as she failed to maintain contact, which was out of character for her. She had been staying with an acquaintance she knew from the Dominican Republic. Since her disappearance, Orlando police have been actively investigating, but no significant leads have been reported.
Her family, both in Florida and the Dominican Republic, remain deeply concerned, as they have not heard from her since, including on her birthday in May 2023. The case has drawn attention, with the Orlando Police Department and various organizations continuing to ask for any information from the public regarding her whereabouts.
