Dillon Jon Entler, a 31-year-old man from Cabazon, was reported missing on August 26, 2021, in Riverside County, California. According to his family, Entler had intended to go hiking in the Cabazon mountains and did not return. He was officially reported missing by his mother on August 29, 2021, after she had been unable to contact him. At the time of his disappearance, Entler was described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
He has distinctive tattoos, including the word "Infamous" on his neck and "Inland Empire" on his wrist. He was last seen wearing a grey tank top and grey shorts.
The investigation into Entler's disappearance took a significant turn when evidence led the Riverside County Sheriff's Office to believe he was the victim of a homicide. This prompted the Central Homicide Unit to take over the case, which was investigated as a "no-body" homicide as Entler's remains have not been located despite numerous searches by law enforcement and volunteers.
In August 2023, two men, Richard Eugene Seevers of Banning and Frank Edward Mansfield of Cabazon, were arrested in connection with Entler's murder. Both men were charged with one count of murder. In June 2024, Richard Eugene Seevers was convicted of first-degree murder in the slaying of Dillon Entler. His co-defendant, Frank Edward Mansfield, is also charged with murder, and his case is ongoing.
Court documents revealed the motive behind the murder stemmed from a brief relationship Entler had with Seevers' girlfriend. After discovering the affair, the girlfriend, fearing Seevers' violent temper, falsely claimed that Entler had sexually assaulted her. Enraged by this fabricated story, Seevers, with the help of Mansfield, confronted Entler at a friend's house on Mountain View Avenue in Cabazon.
