In the early summer of 1991, a 27-year-old man named Benjamin Lopez Jr. embarked on an adventure that would ultimately lead to his mysterious disappearance. On June 2nd of that year, he made contact with his family, his voice filled with the excitement of his plans. He was in Stockton, California, and was about to set off for the rugged, untamed wilderness of Alaska.
