Mitchell Scott Reif, a 25-year-old man from Winneconne, Wisconsin, was reported missing on June 22, 2025. Authorities were initially contacted for a welfare check at his residence in Winnebago County, but he could not be located. He was subsequently listed as a missing and endangered person. Reif is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
His vehicle was discovered abandoned on private property in the Town of Somo, Lincoln County, on June 25. Personal identification found near the vehicle confirmed it belonged to Reif. A trail camera located about half a mile south of the vehicle captured an image of a person matching Reif’s description at approximately 8:44 a.m. on June 22. A ground search team later recovered a shoe believed to belong to him in the vicinity.
Further investigation revealed that Reif’s phone had been found discarded in a ditch in Outagamie County, and traffic cameras had recorded his vehicle near Prentice, Wisconsin, prior to its discovery. At the time of his disappearance, Reif was wearing dark-colored sweatpants and a black t-shirt.
Law enforcement agencies, including the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and conservation officers from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, have been actively searching for Reif. Residents in Lincoln and Price Counties have been urged to check their properties and trail cameras for any signs of him.
