In the community of Raceland, Louisiana, concern lingers over the disappearance of Wilbert Molaison, a 44-year-old man who was last seen on March 17, 2023. At the time he went missing, he was living on Morristown Bypass Road. The last confirmed sighting of him was in the 300 block of Greenville Street in Raceland. A family member who resides outside of Lafourche Parish reported him missing after being unable to make contact with him for a prolonged period.
This family member acknowledged that while Wilbert has struggled with drug use, it was highly uncharacteristic of him to be out of touch with his family for such an extended time.
Upon receiving the missing person report, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office launched an investigation into Wilbert's disappearance. Detectives dedicated several days to pursuing leads and conducting searches in various locations that he was known to frequent. Despite their efforts, these initial searches did not yield any clues regarding his whereabouts. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not dismissed the possibility of foul play being a factor in his case.
Wilbert, who also goes by the nickname Will, is described as a Black male, standing 5'10' tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has several distinguishing features, including facial scars from previous piercings and a tattoo of a brick on his right arm. At the time he was last seen, he was reportedly wearing a blue sweatshirt with an American flag on it and gray pants. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, and his case is still considered unsolved. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office continues to ask for the public's assistance, urging anyone with information about Wilbert Molaison's whereabouts or the details of his disappearance to come forward.Last Seen: Mar 17, 2023
