David Klein, a 56-year-old commercial fisherman from Ketchikan, Alaska, was reported missing on February 20, 2025, after his 43-foot geoduck clam dive boat, *Canis Majoris*, failed to return from a routine outing near Thorne Bay on Prince of Wales Island. At approximately 6:18 p.m. that evening, the U.S. Coast Guard received an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon alarm originating from the vessel.
