She was later spotted at a Bank of America in Lawrence, but without identification or a debit card, she was unable to withdraw money.
Surveillance footage captured her walking toward Eudora later that day, and her family believes she may have been heading toward Kansas City, where she has personal ties.
Wanda is described as 5-foot-2, weighing 117 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black coat with pink lining, multicolored pants, a black backpack, and a blue surgical mask. Her family has expressed deep concern for her well-being, as her dementia has worsened significantly in recent months. David Dyer, who has been married to Wanda for 46 years, has shared that she is a fast walker and has a history of becoming disoriented. Community-led searches have been organized, and local authorities, including the Lawrence Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, are actively investigating her disappearance.
