In the late summer of 2024, a quiet concern began to ripple through a North Carolina community. Six-year-old Yelin Matute Molina, a young Hispanic girl with black hair and brown eyes, was last seen on August 26, 2024, in Lenoir, a town in Caldwell County. This last sighting occurred as she was being enrolled in a local elementary school. After that day, Yelin did not attend school, and a troubling silence followed.
