Travis Kapp, a 45-year-old fisherman from Point Couverden, Alaska, went missing on December 1, 2024. He was the captain of the fishing vessel Wind Walker, which capsized in the Icy Strait near Couverden Point. Along with Kapp, four other crew members—Jacob Hannah, Alex Ireland, Emilio "EJ" Celaya, and Michael Brown—were also reported missing. The crew made a mayday call at approximately 12:07 a.m. local time, reporting that their boat was overturning.
