On January 18, 2012, three-year-old Ernest John Lacap Macadaeg, affectionately known as "EJ," was allegedly abducted by his father, Honest Juan Cayanan Macadaeg, from Davis, California. A felony warrant for Honest Juan's arrest was issued on July 23, 2012. Authorities believe they may have traveled to Manila, Philippines.
Honest Juan Macadaeg, who may also go by the aliases "John" or "John Boy," has distinctive tattoos: a yin-yang symbol on his back, a snake on his shoulder blade, and another tattoo on the back of his neck. At the time of the abduction, Ernest was three feet tall, weighed 35 pounds, and had brown hair and eyes. An age-progressed image released by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children depicts what Ernest might look like at age 14.
Despite the passage of time, Ernest's whereabouts remain unknown. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children continues to seek information that could lead to his recovery.
