On August 21, 2024, 26-year-old Jorge Garza Perales last communicated with his family around 9:45 p.m. He was residing in San Antonio, Texas, where he had been working for two years. Following this contact, his family, who lived in Mexico, became concerned after being unable to reach him the next day. In response, his mother, Analilia Perales, traveled to San Antonio to search for her son.
