Vendula "Wendy" Rose, a 41-year-old from Marysville, Ohio, went missing on September 23, 2024, during a hiking trip in Alabama. Wendy had planned to hike a section of the Pinhoti Trail and was last seen on surveillance footage making a purchase in Oxford, Alabama, before heading to the trail. Her vehicle was found at the trailhead in Cheaha State Park, and a search of the area uncovered no traces of her.
