Tony Bortner, a 50-year-old fire police captain from Laurel Fire Company in Windsor, Pennsylvania, was reported missing on October 17, 2024. His disappearance was announced by the fire company on Facebook, and his vehicle was later found parked at the historic Lock 12 area in Lower Chanceford Township. Authorities searched the natural area around Lock 12, where Bortner's family mentioned he often went to clear his head.
