On the evening of July 26, 2024, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, 69-year-old Vincent George David was last seen by acquaintances at a local VFW bar. He had been staying at a residence in the area for roughly a year. Before his departure from the VFW at around 6:00 PM, he mentioned that he was heading to a convenience store down the street. His stated purpose was to use an ATM to withdraw money for his rent payment. He left the establishment alone, driving his gray 2006 BMW 325i sedan. The events immediately following his departure from the bar were partially clarified by surveillance footage from the convenience store. The video confirmed Vincent's arrival, showing him enter the store, purchase a carton of cigarettes, and then leave in his vehicle by himself. However, he never made it back to the home where he was living. His failure to return prompted a report to the Okmulgee Police Department, officially marking the beginning of his missing person case. The vehicle he was driving was noted as having distinctive features, including a cracked windshield and a missing passenger side mirror, details that were circulated in an effort to locate him. Concern for Vincent's welfare grew as the investigation commenced. His information was entered into national missing persons databases to broaden the search. After a period of uncertainty for his friends and community, Vincent George David was located. His case is now closed, as he has been found alive. The details surrounding his disappearance and subsequent discovery are not widely known, but the outcome brought relief to those concerned for his safety. The case began with a simple, everyday errand that took an alarming turn, but fortunately concluded with his safe return.
