Jessica Barnes, a 20-year-old woman from Pendleton, South Carolina, was last seen on August 1, 2024, at her residence. On September 10, her mother reported her missing to the Pendleton Police Department after receiving suspicious text messages that did not seem to be written by Jessica. In the following weeks, law enforcement launched an intensive search, with assistance from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), to locate her.
