Annita Maria Price, a 27-year-old mother of two, was last seen on the evening of May 30, 1974, in Moundsville, West Virginia. At approximately 8:45 p.m., she left her apartment on 4th Street to drive to her job at the Flamingo Club in Benwood, WV. Annita was driving her boyfriend's green AMC Gremlin. However, she never made it to her destination and was never seen again.
The following morning, her car was discovered abandoned along Route 2 in McMechen, just north of Moundsville. Inside the vehicle, police found Annita's purse, wallet, and makeup scattered on the front seat, but there were no signs of a struggle. Despite this alarming discovery, her disappearance was not reported for three days. Annita had been going through a contentious divorce and a custody battle for her two children at the time, which raised concerns about possible foul play.
However, no direct evidence linked her ex-husband to her disappearance.
Annita’s case has remained unsolved for decades. Despite tips over the years, including one in 2009 suggesting she had been shot and buried under a power line, searches have yielded no conclusive evidence. Annita's family continues to seek answers, and foul play is strongly suspected in her case. The investigation remains open, and authorities are still hopeful that new leads might eventually solve this mystery.Last Seen: May 30, 1974
