Audrey Lyn Nerenberg, an 18-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, was last seen on July 15, 1977. She left her family’s home in the Canarsie neighborhood, telling her mother she was going to a nearby store to buy cigarettes. Audrey never returned, and she was not carrying any identification or medication at the time of her disappearance. Audrey had been diagnosed with hebephrenic schizophrenia and was an outpatient at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center. She had been hospitalized in multiple New York med ...
