Donald Beams Wallace, a 37-year-old man from Worcester, Massachusetts, was last seen on April 2, 1991. That day, his mother spotted him at the corner of May Street and Park Avenue. He appeared to be waiting for something or someone, possibly a bus. Wallace, who suffered from schizophrenia and had a history of disappearing for short periods, was carrying a tote bag with medical supplies, including Attends diapers, as he had bladder and bowel issues stemming from a spinal cord injury.
When Donald’s mother failed to hear from him for some time, she visited his apartment only to find it meticulously cleaned, with many of his personal belongings, including artwork and medical supplies, left behind. Despite multiple efforts, he was never found, and he was declared legally dead in 2005.
Donald had disappeared before, once resurfacing in Dallas, Texas, but his 1991 disappearance remains unsolved. Known for his interest in religion, particularly Hare Krishna, and for frequently visiting churches and libraries, Donald was a well-known wanderer. His case is still open, with investigators hoping for new leads.
