Florencio Hernandez Mendoza, a 91-year-old man, was last seen on May 10, 1998, in Blythe, California. He was reported missing after he walked away from a park located at Broadway and Chanslor Way and never returned. Mendoza, who stood between 5'0" and 5'7", weighed around 150 to 180 pounds, and had gray balding hair and brown or hazel eyes, was known to suffer from possible dementia. He also had a hunched back, a surgical scar on his abdomen, and was hard of hearing.
On the day of his disappearance, Mendoza was wearing a blue or black baseball cap, a blue long-sleeved shirt, brown pants, and black shoes. He was also reportedly wearing a watch with a brown band. Despite searches and investigations, Mendoza has never been located, and few details have emerged regarding his whereabouts since he vanished. His case remains unsolved, and authorities continue to seek information that might lead to answers about his disappearance.
