In the winter of 1998, a young mother named Christina Carol Burnett-Pitts vanished from Poplar Bluff, Missouri, leaving behind a painful and enduring mystery for her family and community. On December 23, 1998, the 24-year-old was last seen by her family. According to her husband's account, they had gone to a family member's home near Vanduster Road to pick up her children, but the children were not there as they had gone to the movies.
