Ernestina Madrigal, a 67-year-old woman from Lynwood, California, was last seen on August 5, 2001, at her home near the 3000 block of Euclid Avenue. Ernestina, who regularly took morning walks, disappeared under circumstances that remain unclear. Although she had not been officially diagnosed, her family suspected she might have been showing early signs of Alzheimer's disease, which could have contributed to her disappearance.
At the time she went missing, Ernestina was described as being 5'3" to 5'4" tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. She had a large scar on her lower right leg, a mole on her right cheek, and was missing all of her teeth. On the day she was last seen, she was possibly wearing a blue T-shirt, gray sweatpants, white Reebok sneakers, and a silver ring on her right index finger.
