Barbara Eleanor Hoover, aged 66, was last seen on September 10, 2003, in Silver Springs, Nevada. Her husband, Robert "Bob" Hoover, claimed she had packed two suitcases and left their home after becoming upset over a family inheritance issue. According to Bob, Barbara intended to stay with friends on the California coast, taking several thousand dollars and a year's supply of her bladder medication with her, but she left behind her 1989 Pontiac Firebird.
