In the winter of 2004, a 25-year-old mother named Michelle Lyn Henri vanished from her home in Waynesville, Missouri. She was last seen by her ex-husband on the afternoon of January 24, 2004, at her residence located in the 26000 block of Highway 17. Michelle, a white female with brown hair and green eyes, stood between 5'6' and 5'9' and weighed between 145 and 160 pounds.
She had several distinguishing marks, including various scars on her arms, legs, and both wrists, a 12-inch scar on her upper left thigh, and a scar under her right breast. She also had a pierced navel adorned with a silver hoop featuring a frog and a flower. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a watch with a black band.
Michelle was a mother to two young children and described by her loved ones as a devoted parent who was very close to her family. Her disappearance was considered uncharacteristic, as she was not known to leave without warning. Michelle had a history of depression and had been hospitalized for her mental health in the past. While she was taking medication and her condition was reportedly improving, she left her medication behind.
