Diane Genice Dye, a 13-year-old girl, disappeared on July 30, 1979, from her home in San Jose, California. Diane was reported to be distressed by her parents' marital issues and likely left voluntarily that day. She was last seen by a friend who found her crying on her doorstep. Despite his efforts to convince her to stay, she shared her plan to run away, and he left her alone. This was the last confirmed sighting of Diane.
