Jackie Dene Hay, a 5-year-old girl from Topeka, Kansas, went missing on September 12, 1981, in what is considered a likely non-family abduction. Jackie was last seen playing with her step-siblings near their home in southeast Topeka. Her family was preparing for an outing when they realized Jackie was no longer with the other children, prompting a search that began hours later.
