Julianne Miller, a 27-year-old graduate student from the University of Hartford, was last seen on September 22, 1982, at her home in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. She lived with her boyfriend, James Clayton, in a cottage they shared. The night of her disappearance, a tenant reported seeing Miller and Clayton in what seemed to be a tense argument while watching television. This was the last time anyone besides Clayton saw her.
