Barbara Kettell Rushton, a 45-year-old woman from Vestavia Hills, Birmingham, Alabama, disappeared on August 29, 1984. She left her home that evening around 7:00 p.m., telling her husband she was heading out to play cards with friends. Barbara was driving her white 1980 Volkswagen Rabbit but never arrived at her destination, and neither she nor her car has been seen since. Her husband reported her missing later that night when friends called to say she hadn’t shown up.
