The two were last seen in Pomona that day after visiting Lesa's brother and shopping with a friend. They were supposed to return home to their apartment in Chino, where they lived with Lesa's boyfriend, but never arrived.
Two months later, on September 9, their vehicle, a 1987 Toyota Tercel with temporary plates, was found abandoned in downtown San Diego. The stereo and speakers had been removed, but there were no signs of struggle or clear leads. Both Chris and Lesa vanished without a trace, and no activity on Lesa’s bank accounts or any other clues have surfaced. Chris, who had a seizure disorder requiring medication, is considered endangered.
