Witnesses reported seeing George riding his bike in the area, but he never arrived at his friend’s home. He was last seen around 8:30 p.m., biking around the neighborhood.
The following day, George's father and the family friend searched for him and found a spare rim from his bike near a tennis court, but George and the rest of the bike were missing. Despite extensive searches, neither George nor his bicycle have ever been recovered.
The investigation into George’s disappearance uncovered a disturbing child exploitation ring linked to several men in the area, including James Kowalski and Steven Leake. While these men were convicted of child abuse in unrelated cases, they were never charged in connection with George’s case.
