Zachary Xerxes Ramsay, a 10-year-old boy from Great Falls, Montana, was last seen on the morning of February 6, 1996. He was walking to school around 7:30 a.m., but he never arrived. Several witnesses reported seeing him walking through an alley, appearing to be distressed and possibly followed by an upset man. One witness identified the man as Nathaniel Bar-Jonah, a convicted child predator known to frequent the area. Despite these sightings, Zachary vanished without a trace.
Nathaniel Bar-Jonah was later charged with Zachary's abduction and presumed murder in 2000. Authorities believed Bar-Jonah may have used a stun gun to incapacitate Zachary, and there were even suspicions of cannibalism. However, these charges were dropped in 2002 when Zachary's mother expressed her belief that her son might still be alive.
Despite extensive investigations and searches, no remains or conclusive evidence linking Bar-Jonah to Zachary's disappearance were found. Bar-Jonah died in prison in 2008 while serving time for other crimes.
To this day, Zachary's case remains unsolved, with authorities continuing to hope for new information that might lead to closure for his family.
